Hold it. He was completely outclassed by Mayweather so the fact that his name is on the resume doesn't mean anything other than an emphatic lose. Lara better than Jacobs? Cotto was a shot fighter who caught an injured Martinez. I don't buy it.

Are we talking about resumes or records? I consider them 2 different things. Canelo has been in with the better opposition, win or lose. That's just my opinion.

Cotto beat Martinez in dominating fashion but Martinez injured his leg. Martinez relies on them because his style is based on mobility. His biggest asset wasn't working and IMO that had nothing to do with Cotto. Sorry I can't give him props for that. The same as I can't give props to Charlo for beating Heiland even though I think Jermall is a good fighter. I'm not hating I'm telling you my opinion. Up front, yes I don't care for Cotto after those two low blows he landed on Judah. I'm also not a fan of catchweights for title fights something Cotto and Canello have in common.

Getting injured during a fight is part of the game. You can't blame that on Cotto. And as far as catchweight goes if both fighters agree to a certain catchweight then who cares. They'll both be the same weight at the weight in.....
