Over Rated ?????

I have read a lot of threads talking about fighters being over rated and I've seen completely diverse opinions.

Now there should be a basis why we say that a fighter is over rated and that we need to understand. Is it because of HYPE, is it because of his large fan base, is it because titles they don't deserve or false stature that they have?

Everybody's overrated. Not everybody agrees on an issue... so the obvious reasons are simply that people a boxer differently than you. Neither person is usually more correct than the other (there are exceptions). Mayweather might be recognized as the p4p best fighter at the moment... but that doesn't mean he's not overrated or underrated by some. Thinking the same when everybody's not the same is communism... commie bastard.

Of course not everybody can agree on every issue, not everybody look at a fighter as the rest but at least there's should be a basis why people are calling a fighter over rated or not and that's what this thread is all about.

I can only say overrated if the fighter is starting to build up a fanbase without having fought real high level competition.

There are lots of underrated fighters around but they are real high level competition, mismanagement may be the problem or boxing politics.

are all vastly over rated.

of course roy jones is the worst of the three but mayweather is pretty bad as well.

I think its more over HYPED than over rated.. If you are a FAN of Boxing 1st and a fan of BOXERS 2nd then I don't think it's a problem.
