Comments Thread For: Eubank: Groves Doesn't Realize Danger He's In, He Will Retire

Chris Eubank Jr said he will send George Groves into retirement when the two British fighters contest the World Boxing Association super-middleweight title in Manchester on Saturday. The pair eyeballed each other at Friday's weigh-in, with Eubank Jr throwing a few more verbal jabs at Groves, the title-holder, ahead of their World Boxing Super Series semi-final.

How many times is this almost identical news story going to be posted? We’ve heard insults aimed at Dad, retirement, brain injuries....

I am not interested in any more hype until someone brings the other’s mama into the equation

Chris Eubank Jr is quickly proving himself to be among the most delusional and immature fighter in the sport. Hearing him predict & warn that he is going to critically injure his opponent is becoming increasingly distasteful. I guess it's true when people say 'the apple doesn't fall far from the tree'.

They've been doing this since the Blackwell fight, the narrative being is they are saving fighters from superman badly injuring them. The real reason Snr was telling Jnr to go to the body that night was because he didn't seem able to get Blackwell out of there with head shots. But the media never let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Eubank thinks he is the extraordinary boxer puncher which he is really not.

            Very delusional and annoying

This danger angle is really being pushed by the Eubank's ain't it? LOL. Idk what to make of all this talk. Kinda unusual to talk about injury in this serious a way. Don't recall seeing any fighter or his team push it so hard before. Usually there is more boasting with it vs serious talk like they are projecting.

This is being sold as legit concern like maybe they want Groves to subconsciously believe it or something to doubt himself & feel like they know something he don't. Heard mfers say Groves is soft mentally at times & "lies to himself" (like all fighters do I believe) more than most so wouldn't be surprised if thats their thinking or something along similar lines. Some Jedi Mind Tricks type sh^t.

Any edge you can get before the ring is fair play in my book so we shall see soon.

I think an angle thats being missed in a lot of how we should view the Eubank promotional material is their standing in the current boxing climate in the UK. They have burned many bridges, many hate them Jr and the brothers career is basically riding entirely on him winning this and them forcing relevancy otherwise they will be pushed out to the fringes of fighting no namers in the arsehole of nowhere. This is all or nothing for them at the minute - but yeah the coverage has gotten ****ing grim, and many of the videos this week for some reason have has **** audio and ifls mic has ****ing died or something. Only worthwhile **** this week is good ol Kalle.

hilarious how Groves is spoken of as if he's like 35-36. He's a year older than Eubank - keep it trill.
