    10-9 rounds with knockdowns

Can anyone name fights where a fighter was knocked down, but goes onto win the round enough to have it not be a 10-8?

Two judges had the 3rd round of the first Cotto knockdown vs Pacquiao 10-9 for Pacquiao.

I don't remember the score but you could probably make a case that Marquez deserved a 10-9 vs Katsidis in the 3rd round, the round he was knocked down.

I don't know. Personally if a boxer scores a real knock down from a staggering punch I give him the round by 10 to 8 even if he loses all the rest of that round. If he just scores a knock down because his opponent was off balance or tripped that's different.

To me, a knockdown is rewarded by the point reduction. If the knocked down fighter wins the round minus the knockdown decisively, then it's 9-9. It doesn't happen often, but it at least guarantees a minimum of a tie if all else remain equal.

Depends on the commission but usually it’s judged a 9-8 round , still a 1 point difference either way it happens sometimes though rarely. Sometimes both guys get knocked down and it’s usually a draw round.

                    What? You mean 9-9.

                    Not 10-9.

Whole thread is delusional about 10-9 lol
