Instead of Killing Boxing, the UFC Plans to Use It As a Lifeline

This. In boxing, when you're watching a main event on network television, you're watching people who are in the top 1% of what it is that they do.The UFC are trying desperately to find their next star.
Ronda train derailed, Jones on multiple drug test failures and criminal stuff, Conor gone, Lesnar gone, Ngannou derailed (for now), and Sage doesn't have the talent.
Boxing will never die, because people who love boxing won't stop watching it. I like MMA too, big fan - but boxing is the better sport and is much more refined and 'pure' than MMA. MMA has too many novices, the sport is in its infancy whereas boxing has the talent pool and history
MMA has too many novices getting screen time, and even casual fans catch on and get tired of seeing limited skills.
That's not to bash MMA. It also has to do with the era we're living in. Low attention spans and too many distractions stop people from developing a deep love for a new sport. People move on from when thing to the next, looking for a bigger high. Back in the day, there was less to do in general, so people were able to focus and learn to love specific activities.Comment

Yeah you get those types anywhere on the internet, but I meant as in actual f4ggots. Males who watch combat sports but then whine about "is sexism in sports holding it back" and other crap you'd only hear if you were watching Ellen Degenerate or some feminist magazine.Comment

The new owners aren't looking to good lately. They raise PPV prices and then the cards are looking worse. I understand the way they were stacking if they wanted to raise the price, but the cards so far this year are fookin trash.
And they don't know how to create stars, they just want freakshow fights.Comment
