I am sure the author knows that other fighters won more than 50 fights to start their careers (Willie Pep, Carlos Zárate, Chavez, Jimmy Wilde, etc.) and that the key to this “record”would be to win more than 50 AND retire undefeated. The Thais will likely face an opponent with a pulse at some point so maybe folks shouldn’t get too excited

He is not 24. He is 32. The other is 122 lber Petch CPFreshmart who also happens to be Thai is 24. The other top strawweight is Knockout CPFreshmart. Get your Thais straight yall lol.
Edit - sorry this article's title IS about Petch (for some reason), and also mentions the 32 yr old Menayothin 49-0 (who is more likely to beat Floyd's record and then retire).
It doesn't help obviously that the Thais have two names and boxrec lists them by their legal rather than their fighting names.

It doesn't matter if you're fighting bums. Ask Chavez about Frankie Randell. Jab, straight! Down goes chavez! Down goes Chavez! Haha

I don't think the writer is a Mayweather fan.

On one hand Mayweather's record doesn't count but if someone comes along and beat it then all of a sudden it means something.
