Comments Thread For: Dooley Noted: Chisora not mad, but he needs to be angry again

Everyone remembers the time that Dereck Chisora (27-8, 19 KOs) engaged in a spot of impromptu Feng shui at the final press conference ahead of what was supposed to be a British title showdown against London rival Dillian Whyte in Manchester in December 2016. Interpreting Whyte's insistence that they would see each other post-fight as a threat of literal out-of-the-ring violence, Chisora decided to mediate matters by hurling the world's flimsiest table at his rival.

Chisora only fights well when he's really fired up; Haye, Vitali, Whyte, Helenius.

At his best he's quite good. At his worst, he can lose to anyone.

I get frustrated a bit with Chisora.

There are many reports that he is really hard work on the training and motivation side.

The guy could have won a World Title IMO, he just is not mentally balanced and physically disciplined.

He has no one to blame but himself for the direction his career has taken, he just seems mad at the whole business of boxing.

Maybe he could do MMA or something else, he is basically a gatekeeper in the HW division now.

Having said all that, his fight with Whyte was the best HW fight I have watched in a long, long time.
