Comments Thread For: Wilder Admits He Gave Parker Pointers, But Wants Joshua To Win

WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (39-0, 38 KOs) admits that he gave WBO champion Joseph Parker (24-0, 18 KOs) some solid pointers to win his upcoming unification. But honestly speaking, Wilder is hoping that Parker's opponent - IBF, IBO, WBA champion Anthony Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs) - is the winner when the smoke clears.

I agree. But I think Parker would last longer just because of his movement with his style. "Styles make fights"

Of course he wants Joshua to win. He wants his payday.

Move his head, try not to let it get hit and throw punches...

I think the two fights coming up will tell us more but for wilder to win I think he needs to connect early on Joshua. Joshua probably looks technically better and likely to dominate if it’s a normal boxing match, so there lies the challenge to wilder. Joshua however is not fully seasoned yet, whyte was a great example where he came out with his head in wrong place and it was a war rather than boxing; good for spectacle but risky.
