As a fan, you want to see unificaitions. Yes they should be well paid but we all know Yafai will be taking a step back and fighting Charlie Edwards next.Comment

I hope the wbss makes good money for all parties involved and continues to do their thing. Big money = unifications possible.
Yafais career has been lukewarm so far. I don't think he has headlined a card yet and without his belt he is probably not worth much. He is in a lower weight class and doesn't have an exciting style.
So he has to make the decision to fight for let's say 150k to fight against a random Mexican or Japanese journey man and repeat this two or three times a year.
Or fight for 160k to get in with on inoue, which he has a 20% chance if winning. Upside? Bigger fights against rungvisai or Gonzalez. Downside? No title, no name, much less money.Comment

I think Yafai is the weakest of the World Champions too and that's why he's being protected.
Really looking forward to WBSS announcing the next weight class in June.Comment

I heard WBSS is rumoured at 118... so eventually Burnett might get a chance to win the belt back, as well as the other two.Comment

I think it's a lot like 154 was before J-Rock and Hammer Lubin got a bit exposed - and Jermall, Canelo as well Andrade moved up.
There's a group of prime, young fighters with amaizng skills and athlethicism.
- Zolani Tete
- Naoya Inoue
- Emmanuel Rodriguez
- Luis Nery
- Ryan Burnett
Some tough veterans too:
- Zhanat Zhakiyanov
- Juan Carlos Payano
- Karim Guerfi
Couple interesting fighters who would be interesting wild-cards:
- Takuma Inoue
- Nordine Oubaali
- Mikhail Aloyan
There are some very big Super Flyweights who could easily move up:
- Jerwin Ancajas
- Srisaket
- Kal Yafai
To me it's maybe the best division for it next year - It would have great international flavour - as you could stage fights on all continents really.
I'd love it.Comment
