Comments Thread For: Trainer: Brook Could've Taken Softer Fight; Rabchenko Tough Kid

Dominic Ingle didn't suggest Sergey Rabchenko is as dangerous as Gennady Golovkin or Errol Spence Jr. Kell Brook's trainer just pointed out that his fighter could've chosen a lesser opponent for his comeback from another knockout defeat that required serious surgery. Brook picked Rabchenko for his first fight since Spence knocked him out in the 11th round of their IBF welterweight title fight May 27 in Sheffield, England, Brook's hometown.

Robchenko has flopped every time he stepped up so I'm not so sure about Brook calling him tough, not at the higher levels.

I agree Kell could have took an easier touch for his comeback, Rabchenko is a decent fighter but i'm sure he's coming off a much longer lay off than Kell, almost 2 years. This should play a part in the fight but this is by no means an easy W for Kell in his first fight at 154. I would have linked to have seen him debuting at 154 against a top domestic opponent, Liam Smith or Liam Williams

I would've rather Brook fought Tony Harrison, Erickson Lubin, or Justin DeLoach, a.k.a. The Other Victims!

Straight up...Kell has the effing heart of a warrior! Dude goes from one top tier to the next. Mad respect for Kell. However if he does happen to lose, and look bad in doing so, it could be time to hang em up

Rabchenko isn't decent enough but I don't understand Kell's motive for coming back and saying he still wants to fight Khan.

He should be looking at becoming a champ at 154 and aiming for fights with the likes of charlo, hurd, trout, andrade, even jack culcay!
