At this stage of Manny i doubt he'll beat Lomachenko.Manny is way past his prime

Manny is ranked #2 at ww. The ww champ Horn is defending against #1 ranked Crawford. Manny will be elevated to #1 contender after this fight happens.

Why would you want him to fight against the 135 champ instead of the 147lb champ?

Simply put, Bud will VERY likely hurt Manny where Lomachenko may just outbox Manny to a lop sided but some what entertaining 12 round decision. Freddie's been very vocal about not wanting Manny in there with Bud. I think the fight happens at 140lbs (where mind you Manny hasn't been in 9 years). I can almost guarantee as well Bob will offer a truck load more to fight Loma than to fight Bud who right now is more on the radar commercially than Loma is. Bob wants to launch Loma into "Superstar" status ala what he did with Manny against Oscar (ironically) 10 years ago this year.

Agree with you. Despite that being the case, Crawford would earn the fight by beating Horn and should get it.

Bud seems like he doesn't really care about the fight, even recently saying he doesn't expect it to happen. Bud deserves a Manny "payday" but he's also someone who on the surface doesn't look like he's chasing the "MONEY FIGHT" over establishing himself as a "GREAT" in this era. Not sure beating THIS Manny does that. That being said though, I hope for his sake he's not fighting the **** list of Welters under Top Rank for the next 2 years. Though Bob and Al "technically" have done business with 2 of Bud's previous fights (Molina, Felix Diaz) they gotta come together to cross collab for bigger fights and will likely be easier with Bud having a World title around him with Spence and Thurman having the 2 other belts.
