Maybe it was him ducking Lewis that gave them that opinion? Tyson paid him millions to fight lower ranked Seldon instead.
He then dropped the title instead of fighting Lewis, to fight lower ranked Holyfield who had lost 2 of his last 4 fights.
He was certainly on Tysons radar. Tyson altered course to avoid him.
I don't remember where I was and I was very surprised by the upset of course. The strangest part is how skillful Douglas was and how well he fought that night. He never looked nearly as good in any fight before he fought Tyson or after he fought Tyson. He was sort of a one hit wonder.
