Hear me out, IF Mayweather won in an MMA fight. Would MMA ever recover?

I actully think it would grow the sport of MMA, it would get young boxers or them that aspire to be a professional boxer, to give MMA a try, because weve seen amateur wrestlers, have decent careers because of there advantage of knowing the ground game, jujitsu practitioners adapt and also become MMA champions, so if there are young boxers that start learning some jujitsu they will have another option. In Boxing, the fans say you're trash if you lose a fight. In MMA it was just a bad match (didnt have a good night) and they still root for you. And if the rumours are true that Floyd has been training in MMA secretly, then he and connor would sell just as many, if not more in a MMA style ppv matchup, + IT DOESNT AFFECT HIS PERFECT BOXING RECORD.

Big names lose in MMA all the time. Brock Lesner (a pro wrestler) came into the UFC back in the day & beat MMA legend & HOFer Randy Couture for the belt. The sport only got bigger from there.

My biggest question to this has always been is Floyd willing to sell his 0 in professional combat sports for the money the UFC is likely to offer him? And I think he would despite the negativity that would be all over social media & on forums like this, but idk if the UFC would pay that much is the thing. Remember Floyd has a $100M GUARANTEE to fight in boxing now. Whats that guarantee he'd want to fight in the UFC? I suspect its bigger. I suspect the UFC won't be willing to part with that much money...although if they feel THAT confident Conor wins & that it'd be a iconic enough moment for them maybe they would jump idk.

If boxing is a young man's game, MMA is an even younger man's game. MMA is tougher on the joints and ligaments. A 40+ year old Floyd taken to the ground is not a good look for him. Floyd's just looking for attention. He did say he was interested in promoting MMA as well, so this is likely a ploy to get his brand some more publicity. His boxing promotion will only succeed for as long as he can milk Gervnta Davis' "0".

if floyd catches conor with those mma gloves he might paralyze him. that technique and accuracy with those gloves is a lethal combo. but if conor starts kicking floyds thighs its over.. boxers not ready for that type of pain. floyds bird legs will snap.

but now floyd has to follow up and do it because this is how conor started, posting memes and sending threats and he did it.
