He said all the stuff to sell tickets, and get his name out there.

I absolutely hated Paulie before the fight and hoped Cotto would KTFO Malignaggi... but that dude showed a lot of skill, heart and determination and was so gracious in defeat, he made a new fan in me.

I'm assuming people that still hate Paulie after this fight, never saw it.

I can't see how anyone would dislike this guy after that fight.

Previous to this fight i did not respect him because of his attitude and disrespect toward Cotto. He called Cotto slow, one-dimensional, and ******...

But now he has gained my respect as he has spoken like a true man. This loss seems to have humbled him, and I hope he learns from this fight. Paulie has the heart, chin, talent, and mouth to be a champion, but Paulie needs a little more experience.

      Good article

Yeah it seems that way, but what about Vargas?

I remember seeing a fairly early fight of his and one of the commentators said he had a stylist come to his home and do his hair prior to each fight. What I don't get is, it was just basically slicked back with highlights! jeez!

Look, Paulie is a ****y trash talker and always will be but I still love him. For those of you who think this fight will change his attitude then your wrong. He's still going to be that same mouthy kid but that doesnt make him a bad guy and that doesnt mean he doesnt respect his opponent.

I bet if he wouldve beat Cotto, he still wouldve talked about how good he was.

Im going to say the same things I always say. Why do you guys want everyone to be a littile quiet, humble, choir boy? I love variety and I want people to act differently. If you never had guys like Paulie, Ali, Tarver, Floyd, or Toney in the sport then boxing would be so boring.

Sure Paulie lost but mostly everyone will lose one day, so you know that a talker will get shut up sooner or later but that doesnt mean he shouldnt ever talk again, as long as he came to fight. and he did come to fight, unlike Tarver.

If Paulie talked the way he did and Cotto flat out killed him then he wouldve looked like a big mouth punk but as long as you bring it then I think its ok, win or lose.

I for one, know I cant wait to see him fight another big name guy. Imagine what Paulie just went through. He went from fighting nobodies to fighting Cotto at 140 in his 1st big fight. How many guys have ever did something like that? Not only is Cotto good but the size and power is whats really scary, but he still took the fight and did pretty well. I like the kid and hope he can come back
