Comments Thread For: Groves Feels at His Best, Rededicated, Aims To Handle Eubank

GEORGEGROVES is back in love with boxing and thinks that means heartache for Chris Eubank Jnr. The WBA world champion makes a second defence in the World Boxing Super Series semi-final at the Manchester Arena on Saturday. AndifhebeatsBrighton boaster Eubank then Groves will face Callum Smith or Juergen Braehmer, who fight on February 24, in the final of the eight-man event to decide the world's best 12-stone fighter.

IT could be Eubank has a real chin test ....will he survive that?...If he doesn't get overconfident he could do a late stoppage or points but don't discount Groves power!

Groves stamina isn’t that great, just looking at Eubank work rate you can see him outpointing him.

Jr is gonna find out that Groves is not the old-shot AA or Quinlan.

Not too bothered who wins - slight preference for Groves .. but will definitely be watching as this is a close fight.

My feeling is that Eubank endures some tough moments but eventually his fast hands damage Groves who ends up on the ropes and there may be a controversial stoppage as the referee steps in to protect Groves.

The odds on a Eubank win have come down significantly to 8/15. So Groves has a decent chance but the odds are stacked against him.

Eubank has bever really been properly chin checked - Groves can do that to him - If Junior can withstand those right crosses then Groves is in an uphill battle.

This is a 50/50 fight for me.

Eubank's cardio could win him the fight, but on the other hand Groves' style, power, and just caliber as a fighter are on a whole other level than what Eubank has fought.

All of Eubank's SMW opponents were very stationary low activity targets, Groves is the complete opposite of that. The closest Eubank has fought to Groves' style is BJS.

Groves will show Jr! Why he’s a beast in the ring! I see Groves walking him down! Landing good body shots and basically absorbing Jrs shots! Groves for SD

                  British boxing...

Froch and Groves were the best Britain could offer at this weight.

Junior will be stanky-legged, but will make it to the 12th. Groves by wide decision

But... I'll bet on Junior by knockout. I always go against my inclinations
