I don't recall Canelo hurting Gennady, either. One thing is for certain; if he stays in the pocket this time like he says he will and trades, we'll be treated to a great fight from both sides. They're both amazing boxers. Their stance on him not being hurt is kind of a moot point because he spent 3/4 of that fight going backwards which was very surprising to everyone. Manny Steward talked about how David Haye was saying Wladimir Klitschko's punches didn't hurt him, and said if you're constantly backing up it's easy to say a guy's punches don't hurt. I don't know if he didn't want to let Golovkin test his power early or what. On the flip side, the commentators noted that GGG was very nervous on the big stage at the beginning of the fight, so I'd imagine he'll be more adjusted now, too. I like both of these cats a lot and in my personal opinion, it was a 7-5 for GGG the first time around. The rematch is so tricky because I don't know how Canelo could beat him on points doing the same thing because there's no way they'll let the judging fly like it did the last time. And if he stands in there and trades like we'd all enjoy seeing and by some miracle it goes 12 without either of them eating it, I don't know how a counter puncher would outpoint Golovkin in that scenario. But that's the fun of boxing, you never know.

More really needs to be said about the brilliant match making by Golden Boy. They timed the fight perfectly waiting for GGG to turn 35 and look vulnerable. Canelo boiled himself down like a sultana to make 154 for years waiting for the right time to move to 160. I see him winning a UD but Golovkin's best days are well behind him.

Top 5 historically based on what? His biggest career fight was vs a small career jmw who he got lit up by,if gggs chin is top 5 historically then whats that make canelos chin top 3 historically?

Come on GGG and knock that Ginger-Canelloni out this time! Don't be so easy on him this time.

Huge fan of both guys. The 1st fight, however, they hurt each other. Canelo catches flack for not engaging but would you let a guy like GGG just "have" a KO over you? Something was making GGG hesitant to let his hands go & that something was Canelo's power. I expect the rematch to go the distance

You should not talk if you call a JMW that re hydrates up to 180 "Small."

Canelo should go for the body, GGG seems to hate that. The fear will be GGG who is a far harder puncher retaliating on a Canelo with stamina issues already.

GGG chin is near impossible to crack.
