Comments Thread For: Wilder Reiterates That Parker Must KO Joshua To Win in UK

WBC heavyweight world champion Deontay Wilder (39-0, 38 KOs) has reiterated that he doesn't see any way that Joseph Parker will win a decision against Anthony Joshua. He's advising the New Zealand heavyweight to forget about winning a twelve round decision and focus on securing the knockout.

And my advise to Joe Parker is to get up at the count of 6 if he is dropped even if its a slip, otherwise the ref may call off the fight. We seen foreigners decide to take the full count of nine only to be screwed by refs over in the UK

-- granted both sides have agreed to 'neutral' officials but this is a Mismatchroom event, and we know there are regular robberies or bias for Eddie Hearn fighters.

Always amuses me when Americans talk **** about other countries judging. Almost every card in America has a robbery on it.

Foreigners get equal treatment over here, thats why Eastern-Europeans decide in migrating to the U.S.A but stay out of the UK.

I see fighters get robbed all the time on the undercards because they aren't the cards promoters fighter. Stop talking bollocks. There's dodgy cards in other countries because it's hard for them to stay neutral. The dodgy cards in America are because they are corrupt.

If it goes to the judges, Parker can win a decision just like Truax did against DeGale. Unfortunately, the ref in Wales will try to find any little reason to give Joshua another 'KO' victory. That's how they do it over there. They do it for Joshua, they used to do it for Fury, and they'll keep doing it for whichever fighter they fancy next.

The do it because there's been quite a few high profile cases of fighters getting brain damage.

Who is worse? American judges or UK referees? A ref who puts unnecessary KO losses on a fighter's record is probably worse than a single judge making a poor decision. Most fighters would rather have a disputed decision loss on their record, instead of an unjust, emasculating KO loss.

That's both smart and humane, but unfortunately, it seems like they don't seem to do it nearly as often when the foreign fighter is winning. It's just my opinion, but I'm admittedly still bitter over the gift stoppage victory that Tyson Fury received over Neven Pajkic. Neven, who was never known as a heavy hitter, dropped Fury with one overhand right. Fury quickly got-up and dropped Pajkic who did not seem to receive the same benefit of the doubt from the ref. The ref was happy to have any little excuse to stop it. Chisora's stoppage victory over Malik Scott was also untimely. More recently, there was no need for the ref to stop the Joshua vs Takam fight, other than to help Joshua stack his record. I realize that corruption exists everywhere, and bad judging hinders the sport, but I believe that bad (biased) reffing is worse than bad judging.
