A Heavyweight game of "What If...".

What if, in the next 12 months:

    • Joseph Parker beats Anthony Joshua convincingly, unifying the IBF, WBA Super, WBO and RING belts
    • Luis Ortiz beats Deontay Wilder and wins the WBC belt
    • Lucas Browne beats Dillian Whyte and is ranked highly by several bodies
    • David Price knocks out Alexander Povetkin and is ranked highly by several bodies
    • Fres Oquendo becomes the WBA "Regular" champion, beating Manuel Charr
    • Tyson Fury loses to Shannon Briggs or Antonio Tarver
    • Johann Duhaupas beats Jarrell Miller
    • Parker vs. Price, Oquendo vs. Browne and Ortiz vs. Duhaupas are the future title fights
    • Shannon Briggs could become a two-time Lineal champion

Ignoring the last two points, you'd immediately see the drumbeat for Parker-Browne in Australia (to the point of potentially handing the WBA belt to Oquendo), Top Rank (Parker's US promoter for now) will try to get the boxing press to act as if no other heavyweight title exists, and Luis Ortiz will become a travelling champion (first defense is likely against Price or Duhaupas, or the Price-Duhaupas winner), and Deontay Wilder ends up fighting Shannon Briggs to become the IBF mandatory challenger.

Any talk of a single champion would go up in smoke as Parker would keep the WBO belt in Australia/New Zealand/Samoa, Fres Oquendo milks his WBA belt for all it's worth (have no doubt that Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn will both make efforts to hand him a sizable bag to come in and get beat), Luis Ortiz will take the WBC belt around the world (top Japanese heavyweight challenger in Japan, top Chinese challenger in China, top Italian challenger in Italy, etc, chasing the money), and Deontay Wilder will settle in with the IBF belt, fighting in Brooklyn and Alabama, against whatever American challenger the IBF gets to the top of their rankings.

There'd likely be another push to unify the WBC WBA IBF belts, but I doubt Arum plays along.

What if Parker KO's Joshua then Ortiz Ko's wilder then Parker KO's ortiz, Price KO's Povetkin, they fought and Price landed a huge right hand that KO'd Parker Cold and becomes an undisputed heavyweight champ?

... and then Ustinov gets big and fat again and knocks out Price for ultimate championship.

Imagine Price vs Ustinov.... battle of the giants.... humn....

Wilder vs Ustinov would be really interesting too.
