Comments Thread For: Wilder: Joshua Must Take Same Rematch Deal I Take for 1st Fight

Deontay Wilder's itinerary after he "knocks out Ortiz" will include a trip to the United Kingdom to go face-to-face with Anthony Joshua. Wilder, who'll defend his WBC heavyweight title against Luis Ortiz on March 3 in Brooklyn, plans to attend Joshua's title unification fight against Joseph Parker on March 31 in Cardiff, Wales. The knockout artist from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, expects Joshua to beat Parker and wants to start negotiating for their higher-profile fight right away, even though it seems more likely that Joshua-Wilder won't happen until sometime in 2019.

I posted those same terms not long ago that the rematch claus would stipulate that Joshua should agree at a 30 % pay should he lose if Wilder accepted 30 %, Wilders reading boxing scene .

What the article leaves out is Wilder claiming he would fight for 19 % if its offered to him , which i can only see him whining if Hearn actually gives him that deal ..

This is smart on the part of Deontay 'Bronze-Bomber' Wilder, Eddie Hearns knows Anthony Joshua is getting KO in the first encounter : as such Mismatchroom/SKY will no longer earn what they are currently making with their golden-goose.

In this generous proposition by 'Bombsquad' Mismatchroom will make Wilder a great offer in order to get what they desire in the rematch despite the fact that by then A.J would not be worth even 20% of the purse, Deontay is willing to make that sacrifice just to get that fraud in the ring, respect.

Will later be revealed Wilder wants a rematch clause even if he loses.

Assuming Wilder gets past Ortiz, and Joshua gets past Parker, I think that the next fight should be Joshua and Wilder. If Joshua takes a different route, I would suspect that Povetkin will be his next fight, and it will be a very risky one to take ahead of a unification bout.
