This is a great, great match-up... I don't see Hurd winning it early - he has no effective defence for southpaw left hand and Lara has one of the best in the business.
I think Lara will pepper Hurd with vicous straight shots early, so it's all about Hurd staying composed and maintaining the pressure... He was able to break Harrison and Trout, but Lara is way fitter and craftier than those two.
If Hurd can win, men that would be amazing achievement and win on his record...

If Hurd can take all of what Lara's going to dish and somehow come out on top then he will be baddest mofo in Boxing.

Hurd has a shot if he can cut the ring off and land some power shots. But I doubt Lara will engage in a brawl like trout did smh I believe Lara eventually breaks Hurd down only reason I pick Lara is because of his movement and ring IQ. Hurd has the height, reach, size, youth and power advantage but he can be outboxed and his ring IQ isn't great which I believe will cost him the fight.

EXACTLY!!! Trout went FULL RTARD trying to out slug the much, much bigger man. Lara is too disciplined and savvy for that BS.

Lara wins by decision and Hurd calls him a runner.

Agreed 100%... What he did against Harrison and Trout was already extremaly impressive - not from technical standpoint necessary, but just in terms of his mental fortitude and ability to take punishment and come strong at the end. When most fighters are too diminished after receiving clean shots, he comes on very strong.

Doing it to Lara will be another level though. It's just a terrible style-clash imo. There's a reason Hurd had Majority and Split Decision to southpwa gate-keepers early in his career and then looked bad against both Jo-Jo and Trout(Who in my opinion wasn't in great form, looked old).
With those angles, pistol-like straight left from Lara - and Hurd's poor positioning and slow feet, he will have to walk through hell to win this.

..but hey - if he does, it's magnificant in my book.

Hurd is good dont get me wrong but Lara is much better then Trout. Trout is a C fighter sometimes B on days. Lara is a BORING A class fighter that will only lose by a close decision. Hurd is too green and young to win.

And like you stated hurd had problems with southpaw gatekeepers...

Remember when the cut happened in the trout fight? I thought trout was going to actually stop Hurd with the cut, but then Hurd came out guns blazing in the next round and turned the tables on trout immediately. I like how strong Hurd mentally and Physically is.
