      From the horses mouth

Carlos Takam has given his verdict on the Joseph Parker v Anthony Joshua heavyweight world unification and believes the New Zealander has far quicker hand speed than the big Englishman.

Takam has lost to both men – to Parker by unanimous decision in Auckland in 2016 and to Joshua by a controversial stoppage at Cardiff's Principality Stadium last October, the venue for Joshua v Parker on March 31.

"Joseph Parker, the guy has speed, a lot of speed. I think his speed is faster than Joshua," Takam told Sky Sports UK.

"Joshua is strong, but Parker's speed is faster than Joshua and we're going to see what is going to happen in the fight - speed or strength.

Maybe you should ask Carlos Takam who's faster lol

He's clearly said Parker is a much faster fighter with fast hand speed

That's a bit of misnomer though isn't it? When Joshua fought Takam he was at his career heaviest which is undoutedbly going to negatively affect his speed.

If you compare the speed of Joshua against Breazeale to the speed of Joshua against Takam you'll see there is a pretty big difference... and apparently Joshua's team aim for him to be around the Breazeale fight weight from here on in.

I'm not saying Joshua does have faster hand speed than Parker by the way, just that I really don't think there's that much of a night and day difference between Joshua and Parker when they are at optimum weights (Parker's hand speed has also suffered due to weight gain in his recent fights since Takam).

Takam confirmed Parker faster. Case closed.

AJ is slow as mud once he's thrown a few combinations and gassed his over developed steroided frame.

Thats when Parker need to string a few combos together and put his glass jaw on the ground.

                They aren't my words.

Those are the words of a man that has fought them both lol

You make a good point but he can only compare with what he fought against and from his experience he is saying parker is faster.

                You can't argue that fact.

Either way we will find out who is faster when they fight won't we and it will be a fun fight to watch
