LOL yeah sure, the guy who challenged the top dog at 160 and gave him a run for his money is afraid of you haha!

Bottom line is this, Jacobs would jump at the chance to take that belt from BJS and he knows it. BJS all but said he is going to fight some stay-busy fights until he gets Canelo / GGG winner - hell even if Canelo were to lose Saunders would prefer him because Canelo brings the most money.

Zero chance Saunders fight Jacobs, too dangerous for not much reward

I like Saunders but he aint fooling me on this one. JACOBS will beat him no doubt, he is just trying to duck Jacobs here.

like I said awhile back, Jacobs will have to make his own path..... none of those guys are going to hand him anything

he will have to go the mando route

I agree with this, but would add some context.....

Golovkin and Canelo have earned the right to do their thing

Golovkin, because he has most of the marbles, and because he is generally regarded as the man at 160

Canelo, because he took Golovkin to the wire, is a superstar, and will likely win the rematch

Saunders has earned the right to wait for the winner, but that fight should happen next..... a potential trilogy fight for Golovkin/Canelo should wait.....

BJS is under no obligation to hand Jacobs anything..... Danny is a great guy and a very good fighter, but that real close loss* to Golovkin hurt his position, unfortunately..... he will have to make his own path for the next 12 months

maybe the awful IBF will be useful to him..... what with their rankings being so poor, and their trigger finger being so itchy

Saunders is better than I expected, but Jacobs beats him handily

Saunders has surprised me every step of the way with his quality. I expected him to lose to Eubank Jr., Monroe and I expected a shopworn Andy Lee to land a punch that'd lay him out. Credit where credit is due, I've always underestimated this kid. I thought Lemiuex would smash him too, though I'm a big David Lemieux fan, so perhaps my perspective was skewed on that one.

Either way, Jacobs would be a bridge too far, I think. And blaming the promoters feels a bit like talking trash and knowing he'll never have to back it up. I see Jacobs handily beating Saunders by UD. Jacobs is too quick and too slick with the duck and roll for Saunders admittedly accurate and constant jab to create enough room to work.

Hearn won't work with warren, and vice versa. It is what it is, if Jacobs actually had any interest in fighting Saunders he wouldn't of signed with Eddie hearn. And some of you saying Jacobs beats him easily is ridiculous.

Jacobs would take the belt off Saunders's motionless body. Hearn is to blame - give me a break, Eddie would do business with the devil if it means money.

Jacobs coming off a pretty uninspiring performance against an unknown fighter. Not sure where he fits in. Definitely no title prospects until well into 2019.
Jacobs has a longterm deal with HBO, according to what's been said.

After Alvarez-Golovkin 2, Oscar may end up being a sniveling snake and try to run that fight a third time (September PPV at JerryLand), but the hole starts to go dry kinda quick for those two.

Sanders likely fights the winner (Alvarez in September; Golovkin in October), but the loser of that fight likely needs a fight too.

HBO fighter vs HBO fighter; pretty straightforward.

Jacobs fought Arias, seems set to fight Sulecki in the Spring, (assuming he wins) will likely fight the loser of the fight or Andy Lee or Spike O'Sullivan in the Fall, and definitely have a meaningful fight by the Winter (with Jacobs/Hearn telling his story along the way).
