Canelo vs Golovkin 2 PPV buys? Gate? Poll

How many PPV buys do you think the rematch will do?

The first fight did a little north of 1.3 million buys.

Also, not in the poll but the first fight did a gate of $27,059,850. The third highest of all-time. Do you think the rematch can surpass the $30 million mark?

I think PPV will be very close to 1.5 , and might bump past it by a bit. I think the gate is still to be determined.....the venue will decide that portion

Ive actually got a feeling it might do less than the first fight... the first fight wasn't really that entertaining and I think a bit of the gloss has warn off, I think it might do similar numbers to canelo/cotto, about 900k

I have a hard time seeing the fight get past 1m PPV buys; the first fight didn't really force the fans to want to see a rematch (as close as the fight was, this was the third performance where Golovkin showed himself to be less than what he'd been hyped up to be), HBO has near no programming on the docket to help build anticipation for the fight, and neither guy is all that comfortable doing the press runs in English (opening up the chance for casual fans to be interested).

The fight is going to draw on value of Saul Alvarez and the few folks who may be ready to pay for a Golovkin fight, and I'm having a hard time seeing the number get over 800k homes, nevermind talks of being well over 1m homes.
