Comments Thread For: Juanma Lopez: I'm Not Even Thinking About Retirement

Former two division world champion Juan Manuel "Juanma" Lopez maintains a safe distance from the idea that a defeat at the hands of Jayson "La Maravilla" Velez would precipitate his decision towards retirement. Lopez and Velez will headline the card Noche de Campeones DirecTV: Live or Die 'on March 3 that will headline the Mario "Quijote" Morales of Guaynabo coliseum.

This guy was once a very good boxer. I hope he retires if he wins his next fight.

With that fragile chin he should rethink this decision.

Both of these bums are a creation of the ignorant Rican fan base. On one hand Velez was hyped after beating Salvador Sanchez nephew and Sanchez was not even known in Mexico or anywhere. On the other hand you have Lopez who was fed about 30 Mexican bums with about 2 or 3 on his resume that were have beens when they faced him. So this fight will be an exciting fight only for Ricans who love to be fooled by this kind of circus.

yes, because the Mexican fan base is so much better when they're going to watch Chavez jr vs angulo. Or the million plus idiots who bought Canelo vs Chavez jr thinking it was gonna be Barrera vs morales and it was the worst ppv main event of all time. Or the fools sold on zurdo ramirez who just fought a farmer from Ghana. You have the nerve to talk about juanma beating Mexican bums when every single top Mexican fighter has 30 plus Mexican goat herders on their record. Most Ricans don't give a **** about juanma vs velez you dumba$$.

                He should retire asap.
That L he took at the hands of the corner man - there's no going back from that.

The current state of his countryman Wilfred Benitez hasn't taught anything to JuanMa.
