  • Comments Thread For: Top Rank's ESPN Show Averaged 741,000 Viewers Saturday Night

Top Rank's show Saturday night didn't resonate with viewers the way its previous ESPN card did. Its doubleheader featuring Gilberto Ramirez and Jerwin Ancajas in separate fights averaged 741,000 viewers, according to ratings released Tuesday by Nielsen Media Research. Top Rank's last ESPN offering of 2017, headlined by Vasyl Lomachenko and Guillermo Rigondeaux, averaged 1.73 million viewers December 9.

Weak ratings. That's basically HBO Boxing After Dark numbers but on ESPN who is in 3X more homes then HBO. And it had live attendance of only 3,200 (according to Fat Boy Dan) in a arena that is designed to hold 10,000.

I didn't even know there was boxing on besides the Gassiev/Dorticos fight. Had I known, I wouldn't have tuned in either lol.

That was one hell of a mismatch, bob got some African strait off the streets and he looked like a welter fighting a full fledged smw.

GGG had trouble hitting a 5'7" Canelo, he was swinging for the fences at a 6'1" Jacobs, so I highly doubt he touches a 6'3" Zurdo much less beat him. Zurdo shoulder rolls ggg to a late stoppage, GGG would probably say no mas from humiliation.

Ggg has proven himself to have a rock solid chin, although Zurdo is a huge puncher I dont see him getting the Ko. I think he would probably beat Ggg by decision. Zurdo is too big, he should actually try to clean out the division and then move up to 175
