Comments Thread For: Hatton Very Concerned About Tyson Fury Making a Comeback

Ricky Hatton fears Tyson Fury may already have done "too much damage" to his career by the time he launches his comeback. The heavyweight is preparing to return this summer having not fought since November 2015 owing to numerous personal problems that had led to his boxing licence being suspended.

The contrast here is the Fury NEVER fought at a high level. He was an opportunistic clod fighting a gun-shy Klitch. A big baffoon who used size, not skill.

At the end of the day, Tyson Fury will be remembered as a second coming of Primo Carnera on dope.

This!!! Never have truer words been spoken. The Vlad that turned up against AJ beats Fury hands down.

Fury did have a training camp at least in the last 2 years and he is still only 29. Ricky Hatton was 34 and over 3 years out the ring.
Hatton would've won his comeback fight against Senchenko but he threw way too many hard shots in the earlier rounds that missed and he gassed out and got stopped, Hatton was actually winning the fight early on as well.

Hatton was an inside pressure brawler wherea Fury is an outside fighter who is tall for his weight.

There are no comparisons here other than the weight issues, Fury has way better Ring IQ also

It is inevitable. No matter how bad of shape Fury is in, physically or psychologically, there is too much money for this not to happen.

This fight plays, better or worse, to virtually every polarizing issue that whips people into a frenzy of interest: regional rivalry, urban vs. rural rivalry, race, ethnicity, superman vs. everyman. Add to that the fact that these guys are so damned big...and it's an eight-figure payday.

As I understand it, Fury spends money in a fairly Pacquiao-esque way too. Bad investments, payroll full of old friends, drinkin', gamblin' and women. He must be pretty close to tapped out financially.
