The huge weight swing from weigh-in to fight night is almost certainly part of the problem, but could Canelo still be Canelo and fight like Canelo if he wasn't past the light heavy limit before he gets in the ring?

He definitely needs to throw more punches to win, but I can see that being his undoing if he flurries to interrupt Golovkin's early pressure and runs out of gas. Canelo might be better served to throw more lighter punches, waste less energy and then sit down on his punches increasingly as the momentum swings and Golovkin's defense starts to loosen up. But I'm not sure I can see Canelo changing gears that fluidly and refusing to swing for the fences while he is chipping away early.
The only difference I see in this fight if Canelo backs his talk about KOing GGG is in the first fight when G connected Canelo was on his back foot taking the steam off the punches. To try to KO granite chinned GGG he will need to move forward meaning risk getting caught coming in. He will and the effect will be quite different to what happened the first fight, Red will get dropped.

Wait what? Didn’t he say he’s knocking GGG out just last week?

Don’t speculate, keep it real. Ggg is enrolled because he is the wbc champion which happens to be the only sanctioning body to enforce enrollment, canelo doesn’t fight for the wbc as we all know, or should know the history of that situation

And a few things about this Stall article. A few have mentioned this, if Canelo starts throwing more punches, which he will not, he'll be more tired and open himself up to more counters. If GGG has a body work fight this time, which he needs to do, Canelo can't win the fight even with the judges help again. If Team GGG are smart, they will go after the body relentlessly. Then once Cinneboy tires out around the 5th round, go for the kill and get rid of this cheater once and for all.
Ggg is not a counter puncher, try again
