Yeah. Floyd isn't nearly careless or dumb enough to think he wouldn't get taken down and submitted fairly easily by even a mid-level grappler. I feel quite sure he would turn down a massive payday to avoid becoming a worldwide meme and tainting his legacy with a blowout loss in MMA.

An embarrassing submission would do so much damage to his brand and ability to make money off his legacy...can't see him risking it.

That's entirely possible. I'm sure that there are plenty of MMA fighters whose biggest payday ever would be an envelope of cash from the Mayweather camp to throw a fight.

Floyd really do need to stay retired though. I know it's not easy for him to stay out of the spotlight and clearly doesn't like the fact that it no longer shines on him anymore, but he needs to put that ego of his aside and focus on being a full-time promoter. He can easily become a successful promoter if he'd just let his fighters shine and not hog the spotlight from them. If he had played his card right, he could've easily had Mikey Garcia or Errol Spence under his promotional banner right now, but I don't think he wants to promote another great superstar level boxer; He'd just see him as a threat and competition to his legacy.

Mayweathers gonna be Mayweather regardless what Oscar does or puts together.....So if GGG/Canelo wasnt taking place Mayweather wasn't gonna be his usual self?? Oscars delusional....Insecure Oscar is the one who "needs attention" whenever Mayweather tries to keep his name relevant.....that threatening feeling he keeps feeling is all in his head. GGG/Canelo will NOT struggle on account of some silly publicity stunt. Why are you bringing up Floyd’s style? Oscar can’t fight like Floyd and that’s why he lost the fight . The last six rounds he dropped his punch output and tried to coast to victory . Floyd out classes his opponents. I only seen Oscar do that to Vargas and Mayorga. No hate.
