Parker will have to sit on him wth that THICC ass of his to keep him down

I certainly don't disagree with most of your analysis, but the comparison to Lewis vs. Tua was that a larger Brit heavyweight champ with a significant reach advantage was taking on a New Zealander with a small, rabid fan base that seemed unrealistically optimistic about his prospects. Parker isn't as short as Tua by a long shot, but he doesn't have an all-time chin or single punch KO power either. Stylistically, I'd never compare the two.Aww geez lol
Lennox Lewis knew how to fight from anywhere in a boxing ring and had great ring iq. This cannot be said for Joshua I don't know why this comparison is made as well considering that Tua is like 5'8 compared to Lewis at 6'5.
Hugely different to this fight where parker is 6'4 and joshua is 6'6.
Just let that sink in. Yes Aj has more power but parker isent that much smaller than him. Plus unlike Aj parker can move and has better stamina.
We are in for a better match up than Tua vs Lewis.
Is Aj the favourite? Absolutely as a parker fan saying otherwise wise would be bias but at the same time being an under dog is much better for parker as well all the pressure will be on AJ to not lose to the man he proclaimed as the pie man lol.
How embarrassing would it be for AJ to lose to him?
Very
Parker may not have as massive a height advantage as Lewis, but I respectfully question your statement that Parker is all of 6'4. Carlos Takam is just over 6'1 and Parker didn't have 3-inches on him. Parker has looked 6'2-ish to me every time I've seen him fight.
Plus Parker is giving away at least six-inches in wingspan, that is a recipe for a long night if he doesn't land his very best punch on the tip of Joshua's jaw early. And Parker is no bodypunching destroyer to take some of Joshua's reach advantage back.
I like the guy and you have every reason to be a fan.
I agree that it would be embarrassing for AJ to lose to Parker, but I can't see it happening because Parker won't get a decision on a single card due to Joshua's popularity, I'm sure you would acknowledge that. And Parker doesn't have the power to KO him, which you may disagree with.Comment

Oh fair enough I'd agree with you about joshua if he wasent a brawler that will give parker plenty of opportunity to get in and land combos if he can withstand trading with Aj.I certainly don't disagree with most of your analysis, but the comparison to Lewis vs. Tua was that a larger Brit heavyweight champ with a significant reach advantage was taking on a New Zealander with a small, rabid fan base that seemed unrealistically optimistic about his prospects. Which I think he definitely can.
It would be a long night if Aj had the patience to stand on the outside and jab his way to victory but he won't he will be out for blood which is perfect for parkerComment

You make a good point about Joshua stylistically that makes me wheel it back a bit. He doesn't have an active or accurate jab and that would definitely be his golden ticket against Parker.Oh fair enough I'd agree with you about joshua if he wasent a brawler that will give parker plenty of opportunity to get in and land combos if he can withstand trading with Aj.

And his tendency to try to lean on guys coupled with a porous defense may give Parker a phone booth to work inside.
I really would like to see Parker win, so I'm definitely open to your scenario.Comment

Well, then I guess Wilder will need to put pants on man up and fight another REAL contender. Nowhere in the book of boxing does it say you automatically get a big money title fight if you fight one-armed midgets to stay busy and run your fool mouth. See, that was so simple. Fighting more than talking makes you money every time. Can someone explain... if Parker wins Joshua has the rematch clause correct? So we still won’t see any Wilder fight soon, even if Deontay beats Ortiz?
Man, I have a strong feeling Parker and Joshua go 12. If it’s close, Hearn will push for the rematch anyways. I just know itComment

Don’t even know who Parker is. I don’t think this dude has the power to do it if he couldn’t knock out Hughie, I know a kid from Alabama that has the power to knock out the glass chin DivaComment

I think he will go Breazeale next, should he beat Ortiz. That fight is long awaited.Well, then I guess Wilder will need to put pants on man up and fight another REAL contender. Joshua went 11 hard rounds with an ATG who "knew how to fight from anywhere in a boxing ring and had great ring iq" fighting on equal terms throughout. Had the energy to go for KO at the end too. His stamina questions should really be answered.Aww geez lol

Then again if you count great stamina as going the distance with much lesser foes in slow boring fights then yeah Parker trumps it.
Then there is the height thing... of course Joshua has also beaten big, hard punching opponents aplenty. Bigger and harder punching than Parker is, you could argue. In fact if his last fight is anything to go by you could say shorter opponents who fight small have proven tougher eggs to crack.
We could well find ourselves wishing for a fight anywhere near as entertaining and competitive as Lewis vs Tua was.Comment

Tua would've KO'd Lennox lewis if he was there 2 be hit, but lewis wasn't gonna stand toe 2 toe with the one of the best punchers with one of the greatest chins in boxing, not a good comparison bro, aj is no Lennox lewis, and parker is no David tua. Tua would destroy parker and ajJoseph Parker seems like a class act, is a terrific small-ish heavy who squeezes every bit out of his limited physical gifts and would be an excellent ambassador for the sport, so I'll root for him, but, realistically, I can't imagine anybody outside his inner circle rationally thinking he can win this one. And it's not hard to break down.
Parker doesn't have exolosive power or long arms.
Joshua is too popular, too much of a cash cow in The UK for Parker to get even a well-earned decision.
And Parker's chin is solid, but it's never been checked by such as hard a hitter as Joshua.
This reminds me a bit of when people were dead sure David Tua was going to KO Lennox Lewis. Look how that turned out? And Tua had an all-time great chin and a massive punch.Comment
