Not ready per his team? You mean not ready per Wilder's team quoting his team... that's a big difference. Joshua's team on the other hand have said they want the fight this year but Wilder needs to be realistic... Hearn has even said it'll be Joshua's third fight this year if it gets made. Not that I put much stock in that either.

It is all narrative (from both sides) designed to feed fans so the fact you're blindly accepting what any of them are saying shows that although you can read you clearly lack common sense.

Get your hand off your little **** while thinking about AJ and just realize THEY ARE NOT READY PER AJ. By the way if you are ever in the Tampa Florida area feel free to insult me to my face cause I will kick your arse, make you clean up your own blood and do your wife.
Lolsss, keyboard warrior, I am soooooo shook! Hahahahaha, too many imbeciles running around in Tampa Florida.

In as much I would love to put your ridiculous threat to test, being a gentleman, fighting a bum like you in the streets would be a step down for me as a person, perhaps we can settle in the gym like real men, you wouldn't love the alternative though, I carry a Magnum, being itching to use it on some dumbass, you might just give me a reason to shoot your big head, full of leads!

No I do not, i want to see Wilder fight AJ and i just want a good match up. If Wilder keeps acting like a Pratt and hoping to sell his strap at a ridiculous purse then he is the one clearly ducking... Hearn was in US, that's a fact, they want that work, Wilder's team do not!

Yea that makes perfect sense ........ 2022 ! Let another FOUR years go by and watch 1,460 days of endless rants of whos ducking who go on and on .

The question is if Wilder gets past Ortiz who does he risk fighting 9 times to get to 49 ?

Aren't you lot the same bunch of idiots who predicted that Billy Joe Saunders was going to get knocked out by David Lemieux?

I don't give a **** what Wilder's team says, until they start talking sense on the business side of things. Wilder is a minor player in the American boxing scene. He has little profile and if he wants anything like the 33% Parker will receive for facing AJ, he needs to raise his profile IN AMERICA. It doesn't matter who AJ faces, he sells out venues. By the time of the Parker fight, he will have performed in front of 246,000 live fight fans in just three fights, in 11 months and 2 days. In Wilder's entire career, he hasn't fought in front of that many fans and, without AJ, he never will.

Has he got a chance of victory? Sure. But he's also the owner of one of the worst defences in heavyweight boxing and AJ's more accurate punching carries a lot of power, too.

Wilder is doing a lot of the right things, by making ridiculously outlandish statements: ("I would whoop a prime Mike Tyson".."I feel I have more than matched the accomplishments of Muhammad Ali"...) We all know that he is talking bull**** - but it means we ARE talking about him and that means, sooner or later, his antics will come to the attention of the casual boxing viewer - which is EXACTLY how his profile will be raised.

From the start, when Wilder proclaimed himself to be King of the Division and demanded a fight with AJ, his team has never made a financial offer to Joshua - instead, expecting all the actual work to be done by Eddie Hearn, whose client is AJ. Naturally (and deservedly), as the "A" side, AJ must receive the lion's share. Whatever Wilder receives, will dwarf whatever purses he has previously fought for - much the same as Joseph Parker (whose team also made the fight and their cut on the back of outlandish statements, as well.)

AJ's plans for 2018, are determined by AJ and HIS team, NOT by Wilder and his, seemingly, uncoordinated bunch of misfits. Since LAST year, he has spoken of having three fights in 2018. It makes logical sense, therefore, that the Wilder fight is the THIRD one of the three, given that it is meant to be the climax to the current heavyweight calendar. That should PLEASE Wilder fans because, with Britain's cold winters, the prospect of a stadium fight diminishes and, therefore, improves, greatly, the chance of the bout going to Las Vegas or New York. Since Eddie is intent on negotiating a two-fight deal, that would set things up nicely, for a Wembley Stadium rematch in 2019.

But let's not get ahead of ourselves...AJ still has to overcome WBO Champion, Joseph Parker, at the end of March. If the unimaginable happens and Parker wins, then Parker and Wilder will be back to fighting (each other) for peanuts and, I suspect, AJ will focus on a big money bout with Tyson Fury before trying to regain his belts. AJ v Fury is the biggest domestic fight in the country with the biggest live audiences.
