I'll agree with you on that. But also the state taxes. I just don't see how NY can offer a better financial package than Vegas.
On a side note. I didn't think there were that many Mexicans in NY. I know Puerto Ricans are deep in NY but didn't know that NY had a huge Mexican population.

I would be shocked (SHOCKED!!) if it went to MSG.

Although, this would even up the playing field for Golovkin.

          Makes sense. Thanks

Good point, but... it’s also likely, very likely that canelo and gbp could care less for who the crowd cheers for as canelo has said in the past, in the ring it’s only me against him. It’s even more likely that canelo and gbp would just host the fight wherever the most money is, which likely is Vegas

it's more of a recent trend (meaning post 2000) but Mexicans are the 3rd highest latino group in NY behind puerto Ricans and Dominicans. Yeah, NY taxes screw everyone whether it be fights being held here, athletes wanting to play for a NY sports team or regular cost of living.

This doesn’t make any sense. Doesn’t Loeffler have to show all of Triple Gees net for MSG compared to Bummelo and Vegas? Loeffler has no say in location. Loeffler no longer has a New York judge like in the last fight? The scoring controversy will perhaps hype the new judges to score more hard. This means Triple Gee will have to work harder and improve than from his fight, and I fear by doing that he will get tired more quickly. This isn’t probably the reason why he just threw jabs in the first fight for fear of throwing power shots and gassing out

yeah, maybe if NY was somehow able to offer the highest purse option (despite taxes) it'd be feasible but Vegas is too powerful, so if they want the fight, they'll have the fight.

Just as simple as that. Couldn’t of said it better myself.
