From 2008 to 2010 Pacquiao was a beast, fast always moving, ferocious, power both hands, hard to hit, brilliant foot work, could easily throw a thousand punches a fight and had a great chin, as shown in the Cotto fight.


He is faster than Spence, better footwork than spence, more power than Spence, more elusive than Spence and more stamina than Spence.

From 2008 to 2010 he won every round with ease with his opponents just trying to survive as that was a victory for them.


Spence has show he can be out boxed, and he can be easily tagged, hard to see what he could do against Pacquiao.

Pac and may defined a boxing era for a reason. Speed kills and a prime pac was faster than anyone around in his prime. Spence just doesn't have that special something to beat a prime pacman

Spence was 20 when Pacquiao was in his prime, but he was nowhere to be seen. He is 28 now. He has only got about 3 years till he starts to decline.

Spence's best years will be 2018 and 2019 come 2020 he will be on the downward slope, he won't be getting any better.

Spence hits hard, but not that one punch knockout power.

Also Pacquiao was very hard to hit during his prime, his footwork and his constant movement made him hard to tag.

Spence is making waves right now for whatever reasons please you, but come on...asking about him vs the Pacquiao of yesteryear is ridiculous.

If anyone in here thinks the current Spence (not his potential, not what you think he may eventually be...) beats a primed and still vicious Manny Pacquiao, then please, explain to me exactly why.

It took Spence 11 rounds to TKO a recently KO'ed coming off of a surgery Brook weight drained Brook of 13 pounds, and took Spence 7 rounds to TKO Peterson who Mathysse iced inside 4 rounds.

On top of that Spence's leaky defense, and the fact that he would be the one coming forward, he's too easy to hit and against a Prime Pacquiao he is bread and butter for him.

Cotto is drained? So should we agree also that Canelo Alvarez was emasculated against Floyd Mayweather? If Cotto is drained then what is Alvarez and Kell Brook? It seems to me in the pics that Cotto at 145 looked far better than Canelo at 152.

Solid post. Prime Pacquiao I think would be too much for Spence. In fact Im not sure that Spence would be able to get past 145 pound Cotto.

Going from the weigh ins 145 pound Cotto looked far more healthy than Zombienelo at 152.
