Comments Thread For: Wilder: Parker Must Knock Out Joshua, Can't Win Decision in UK

NEW YORK Deontay Wilder doesn't consider Joseph Parker some sort of hopeless underdog against Anthony Joshua. Parker possesses the tools to win their heavyweight title unification fight, according to Wilder. The WBC heavyweight champ just thinks Parker will have to knock out Joshua to leave Wales with Joshua's IBF, IBO and WBA titles.

What a muppet Wilder is. Parker just won a decision in UK in his last fight. But what do we expect from ******s like Beyonce Windmill?

Mick hennesy has like 1 fighter he holds zero weight in the game.

Whereas Eddie 'the envelope' Hearn is the most powerful boxing promoter in Europe probably, and has a robbery on nearly everyone of his shows

So yeah Parker needs a KO.

Indeed. Joshua IS UK boxing right now. No way to compare a win over the unpopular Fury to a win over Joshua

I think Wilder is right here, the issue here is AJ is just too big commercial-wise, winning a decision against him here would be tough to be honest, especially if it was closer than normal. We tend to get hometown decisions over here but am telling you now that AJ would probably have to be KO for anyone to beat him over here. Am sure if Parker outbox him wide he would win but if the fight is closer then AJ would get the W.

I've said it before, there's no way to get a decision for Parker but a KO is not likely either

If you look at AJ's last two fight the ref jump in and stopped the fight. Never mind that he was ahead and wining but at the first sign they jump in.

Parker moves well but when he moves his head he does it more instinctively than avoiding what is coming at him. AJ is going to catch him at some point of the fight

Since McClellan, Watson and latterly Blackwell refs are far quicker to intervene in UK boxing.

Sometimes too quickly, like Takam, but I would rather too early than too late.

Wildher is trash. AJ will destroy Parker as he would this bum.

I agree even if Parker wins every round he still won't win the decision on the scorecards, there's no way Hearn loses his cash cow. The Takam fight is prime example there was no way that fight should of been stopped, that was to keep Joshua's KO record at 100%.
Just look at the Froch v Groves 1 that was a shambles. HEARN has everything in his control, i have a funny feeling there will be a bad taste in the mouth after this fight either a points robbery or ref causing a stink, let's hope I'm wrong.
