Manny is too scared to fight Crawford. I don't think it's Bob. Although, he clearly is trying to make Loma/Manny to help boost Loma's profile.

I'd rather he just make Crawford/Manny-let Crawford beat Manny senseless-then make the Crawford/Spence fight to determine the best WW.

However, if Manny prefers the easier Matthysse fight so be it. He has earned the right IMO. I mean he can't possibly lose to a over rated C+/C level guy like that, could he?

Pac is not scared to fight anybody, he fought and beat the 3 best featherweights of his generation (Barrera, Marquez, Morales), he retired Dela Hoya, destroyed Hatton and Margarito. Lomachenko is ahead of Crawford in pound for pound rankings, that’s why Arum would rather have Loma fight Pac.

Not on the NSB or tbrb rankings he isn't. He is on ESPN, which is not as respected.

Crawford is a bigger draw than Loma given his Nebarska homebase so I think Arum wants to increase Loma's profile.

He already challenged Lomachenko publicly, I dont think fighters get any better than Loma. He will fight Loma or Crawford before he retires that much is almost guaranteed. Fighting Mathysse coming off an unexpected loss is probably a good idea for the old champ. Hes fought all the top guys for 15 years and was in so many wars. If Danny Garcia can fight Rios who Pacquiao already dominated then there should be no reason Manny cant fight Mathysse on an undercard. Mathysse is still highly rated

Losses count buddy....its also who you lose to as well. Two asian bums beat the living **** outta him....that will always be on his resume and that will always hurt his standings with the goats.

Losses only count if a fighter is afraid to lose, he said before that you should quit fighting if you are afraid to lose and he is still fighting. He already cemented his legacy as an all time great, he has nothing to prove at this time anymore but who are we to say he should quit?

I think this is a perfect fight for both guys at this stage of their careers. Manny already turned down a rematch with Horn and doesn't want to fight Crawford at all. Crawford is a huge favorite against Horn so if he beats him Manny fighting Horn again loses all luster. So who else is there in the top rank stable for Manny? Loma is too small and I doubt he jumps up 2-3 weight classes to make that fight especially when it looks like he might fight Linares next at 135.

One thing I know is Lucas is a name fighter who is always in exciting crowd pleasing fights. If a fight is boring it's because his opponent is running and holding which I don't see Manny doing. And I give Lucas a real shot at winning if he catches Manny with the same shot Marquez did he's going to sleep. Lucas has more pop then Marquez and anyone he's faced since and this old version of Manny is hittable.

Serves his cherrypicking ass right too....fighting a bum like jeff horn should be marked down as an automatic lost. I could understand if he was getting paid 9 figures but he probably didn't make more than his fight with vargas.

He would rather fight Amir Khan but it was Arum who wanted him to fight Horn in Australia so he could get robbed, he made a wrong decision of not leaving Arum who didn’t do nothing but make him fight nobody but top rank boxers instead of the best welterweights outside of top rank.
