    paul malinaggi proven warrior.....

got a chance to see the fight and props to mallinaggi he came to fight and at times he did make cotto look very wild. and malinaggi has a good chin, and though he doesn't hit hard he did seem to stagger cotto for a few seconds.

cotto defently has to move up in weight. as for malinaggi if he fights again i hope he still puts this type of effort in every fight, from what he shown he has a good chance with improvment to be a world champion.

no, holding is Lennox Lewis v. Henry Akinwanda. the guy took lots of punchs and still faught back..... while taking lots of punishment and keep fight back all the way through.

maybe im giveing him too much credit cause i didn't expect him to stand their and fight with cotto and be willing to accept punishment and fight on.

the guy deserves credit, he held a bit but over-all he was their to win and didn't mind taking a few punchs to try and win, to me thats a warrior - willing to put himself in danger to win.

if he still has his confidence and was not left gun shy from the fight, then he can only get better.... you got to respect a fighter who doesn't mind taking punchs to try and win a fight...

I never used to like him and I was hoping he'd be knocked out cold then be so embarrassed in the post fight interview that he started crying and ran out of the arena...however, the way he fought earned my respect and he showed a lot of class and humility in the interview afterwards.

He will do ok, unless Castillo and Chico moves to 140.

Think Cotto will stay at 140 one more time for a Castillo fight?
