Where does this myth come from? Surely not the Wlad fight? Wlad lost that fight being safety first more than Fury won it. Fury fought the perfect opponent. He'll be back to getting dropped by cruiserweights soon enough.

First off, what is NSB?

Second, the second part of your statement isn't necessarily true, even if Fury does come back (which the odds are against happening) fights AJ and wins (even less likely), even if he does that, it doesn't mean he wins the Ring title. The only way for the Ring to crown a new champ is for the #1 and #2 contenders to fight. That is AJ and Wilder.
