    On Monday, boxing fans received the news they were waiting for - a deal was finalized for a rematch between WBC, WBA, IBO, IBF middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (37-0-1, 33 KOs) and Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (49-1-1, 34 KOs). The contest will take place on Cinco De Mayo weekend, May 5th, on HBO Pay-Per-View.

                  I don’t think Canelo needs to throw more punches. I think Canelo needs to hold his ground more and keep the fight in the middle of the ring. He’s the more skilled of the two. And the handspeed gap is so wide that GGG is almost helpless in the middle of the ring. It’s OK for Canelo to move so to keep GGG off balanced and walk him into shots like he did in the first fight. But he doesn’t need to move nearly as much as he did in the first fight. First off, he doesn’t have the stamina to do it for twelve rounds. Second, it’s GGG’s only chance to win the fight.
