Imo he is Most likely gonna co promote boxing with the ufc. I think its genius, he will be involved in mma, but it won't be fighting. Having Floyd at ufc boxing events will boost their chances of success. Its certainly got us all talking, its a great way to start promoting ufc boxing.

Why would he fight mma if he didn't need the money? He's a boxing legend, no need to embarrass himself competing in MMA and he said he wouldn't do it.

I'm a huge fan of Mayweather and his technique. MMA is completely different to boxing however. I'm bigger than Mayweather considerably and have been into martial arts my entire life. Of course under boxing rules I would be completely useless in a hypothetical fight with Mayweather however it would be an honour to spar/train/fight with him of course.

Under MMA rules though I'd be very confident I could crush him in a hypothetical fight. I wouldn't even attempt to strike with him although I'm curious as to how he would deal with kicks. Just because you have no fighting or martial background/experience doesn't mean everyone else on this forum is the same as you.

I have however competed at an amateur level and won numerous medals including being a freestyle wrestling state champion. Under MMA rules the gameplan would be simple...... take Floyd down and beat the crap out of him.... he doesn't have the background, technique or size to stop me doing this unless he got really lucky or I got really sloppy.

While his shoulder roll defence is amazing to watch under boxing rules those insticts which make him an exceptional boxer also make him incredibly susceptible to takedowns, especially single legs.

I'm a fan of Floyd and hope he never fights under MMA rules as he will get demolished. If he wants to compete again he should return to boxing..... now that I'd love to see!
