I don't see Floyd turning down a fight with anyone, with any rules, if he can be guaranteed a nine-figure payday. The only way to be guaranteed that kind of money is to built the hype up. I really doubt he ever dreamed that fighting McGregor for that kind of money was a real possibility. But, he would say this or that and a few days later Connor would say this or that back, and every sports outlet in the country carried stories about it like it was the biggest news this century. Idiots just wanted to see these two loudmouths finally fight. And they paid good money to see it.

Also, I am a major Mayweather fan, but there is no way he wins an MMA fight against any ufc fighter his size. But if he believes they can make it more like a boxing ppv, with some undercards getting paid undercard purses, and if he believes it will make him another $100 million, Mayweather would jump right into the Octagon, get beat in less than two minutes, and in the post fight interview, just tell everyone he just made another $100 million while laughing.

Sad thing is, it might actually happen. And 4 or 5 million people will pay $100 hoping to see Mayweather lose. And they will be delighted when he does and happy they just threw away $100 to watch that loudmouth idiot lose.

Nobody likes Floyd, but he is big news. Lots of people have made lots of money by pumping out bs story after bs story about Mayweather. It doesn't even matter what it is about, if people see the name Floyd Mayweather they click on the article and they buy the fight if they think he might actually lose. I was looking at the boxing schedule this week and I'm pumped more for the Estrada fight and Crawford cause those are action fights ..
