Danny Garcia was 27-0 had beaten Campbell,Holt,Morales2x,Khan,Judah, and Matthysse, was the WBA,WBC, Ring Magazine and lineal Champion at 140 pounds all at age 25.

Fighters develop differently. Gassiev is clearly at a higher level than Davis now. He's also probably a more mature person than Davis too.

"Davis isnt a champ" is the perfect excuse isnt it ? He was a champion this summer and didnt lose the title in the ring...he should be prepared to fight the top guys if he wants to become a champ again. Wouldnt be surprised if he actually missed weight on purpose so he could use not being a champion anymore as an excuse for not fighting guys like Loma.

There's so many belts and easier than ever routes to belts that I don't think that statement holds as much as it perhaps once did. The only problem I have is when a fighter like Davis runs his mouth and then unwilling to back up his claims or accept certain challenges.
