Bernard Hopkins put on a boxing clinic the other night. He totally
outclassed Antonio Tarver to become the best light heavyweight in the world.
I picked Tarver. I had no doubt Antonio was going to win. I'll take a little
ketchup with my crow please... Thank you.

Man was I ever wrong ! Props to Bernard. He proved to me and many
others that he is an all time great. That was just a performance for the
      ages.

Bernard said that was his last fight. If it is please hand him his
admission slip to the Boxing Hall Of Fame. First ballot...you bet !

BUT...If Bernard wants to have one more fight, there is only one
logical opponent. His name is Roy Jones Jr. Why ? It's called unfinished
business. Bernard has been calling Roy out for years. Now he is " The Man "
at Roy's weight of 175. If Roy wins his upcoming fight, why not have Jones -
      Hopkins II ?

For Roy there ia a big revenge factor. If he beats Bernard he finally
proves his first win was no fluke. Second, in a round about way a win over
Bernard would slightly erase the losses Roy had to Tarver.

This would be a BIG $$$ draw. Bernard may want to consider this.

I seen 5 rounds of tarver v. hopkins then just finished seeing the highlights on youtube and its very funny, this is the same old bernard hopkins that everybody hated, now he beats trinidad and delahoya and his boring style becomes exciting, LOL!

I guess when you beat two hall of famers who were great no matter your style peopel will get behind you from their on, another example winky wright, borring ass style now he is an exciting fighter, LOL!

But props to them both, its just funny as hell to remember how people used to talk about these fighters and now to hear how they praise them is funny as hell.

As to the topic.....seeing as how the crowd was hollering and clapping at hopkins boxing tarver i guess the paying public wouldn't mind seeing another -borring as fight betweeen- hopkin and jones jr.

but if hopkins were to fight again, if hes still on a legacy high, then his next fight should be against joe calzaghe, but seeing the reaction from the crowd to hopkin v. tarver im sure they'd probably pay to see another boxing match.

I'd actually like to see this one even though Hopkins seems so much better at this point in his career.

He lost to him twice already, i dont think a third time is necessary.

I don't want to see Roy Jones Jr. suffer any more damage in the ring. The two knockouts were awful and he barely survived the last fight with Tarver. The only good matchup for Hopkins would be Calzaghe. But that looks like a bigger risk for less glory. I think he'll hang up the gloves for good.

He should retire, no reason for him to fight anymore, hes already done it all.

True......I also wanted to add that Hopkins would have KOed Taylor had he fought as aggressively as he did against Tarver.

It takes a Big Man to admit when he has to eat Crow, respect 2 ya, Neverlast. At the end of the fight when Hopkins was talking to Larry Merchant, he mentioned that if he were to fight again after this, No rematch with RJJ, & I agree. You've got to remember all the times, even after Hopkins took Trinidad's title, that he asked, tried to negotiate, a rematch with Roy, & Roy played himself each & errr time with the percentages, & stipulations that needed to be put inplace for Roy to even consider a fight. Since then Roy been KO'd twice(Tarver & Johnson), & defeated twice by the same clown dat got clowned by B-Hop. I'd give Roy a rematch giving him 10% of the take, if he refuses, screw'em, he a bum & a steppin' stone now anyway, No Renegotiation. Now Can U Dig Dat!!!!!!!!
