GGG never came close to hurting Canelo the first fight missing a career high 500 punches and barely landing anything hard and clean. Was scared shytless to throw any body punches (his hallmark punch) because he didn't want to get countered. He's the KO monster yet Canelo outlanded him in power punches(significant since he did it despite throwing 200 fewer punches)? Canelo will make it look easier then the first fight. Still entering his prime, second fight at 160 so he will be more used to the weight while GGG is coming off the 3rd straight bad performance and a year older. The quicker more skilled fighter historically wins the rematch and then you throw in the youth factor Canelo winning this rematch and GGG and his fans will be making excuses for the 4th straight fight for why GGG looked like doo doo and not the killer he was hyped to be.

The start time is a bit peculiar... 8PM ET, is about 1-2 hours earlier than most boxing PPVs start. The Main even will likely end up taking place at 10:00PM ET. That could affect the PPV numbers. I'm interested to hear their reasoning for starting it early.

im gonna get flamed for this but fk it.. this fight is some bs man!!! ggg won that fight clearly!! its NOT even debatable!!! theres absolutely no doubt in my mind that oscar had that judge in his pocket!
if u want to say its a rematch for canelo to redeem himself thats fine but acting like the first fight was a draw is nonsense!! we all knew they wanted to get two fights outta the deal and by golly they got just that!! i have no horse in the race but it bothers me that everyone turns a blind eye to the truth.
im still looking forward to it though and i think ggg wins again even with him being up there in age

Great news. I think it would have been really bad if this fight had not happened. Maybe there will be a clear winner that few or none could say didn't win. They are my two favorite boxers along with Spence. I thought the first fight was good and I think the rematch will be better with both boxers going all out to prove their superiority.

Glad it was officially announced. I hope both throw a little bit more caution to the wind in the rematch. As good as the first one was, that was my only complaint.
