Golovkin barely landed anything with any power. Even his jab was weak taps. Canelo clearly landed the bigger shots throughout.

Show me in the rules of boxing where a jab can't be a power punch. For crying out loud I think it was Jermal Charlo that knocked a guy down with a jab. The opposite is a right cross can just be a scoring punch if it lands clean but has no effect on the opponent. Now if Paulie landed the same punches against fighters with a weak chin and it forced them back or wobbled them then yeah they would be considered power punches.
