I think Khan wanted to prove to the world that he was on Mayweather's level when he decided to fight Canelo. He probably thought he could one up Mayweather by agreeing to a higher weight.

This is probably the first time he's realized his delusions have consequences. Baby steps...

Khan has now been knocked the phuk out at in 3 different weight classes 135, 140, and 1lb over 154. And never fought a big puncher at 147 all those years when he was trying to back himself into a fight with Floyd with the least path of resistance. The point I'm making is Canelo was the first big puncher he faced since the last time he got stopped. It was inevitable if he fought anyone with pop at 147 he was getting KTFO too atleast with Canelo he got paid for that beating. lol
