And Taylor moved up from 140 lbs.


So yes, Matthysse got 2 stoppage wins in welterweight right now but that doesn't mean much. Let's see him in the ring with good fighters.

Yeah he still has good power but I think he'll have to work too hard to score at 147. He doesn't have quick hands or feet so every big shot requires painstaking work to set it up. After the Postol fight I don't see anyone taking any chances and getting into a firefight with him. They'll jab and clinch and **** him when he overreaches. He has to aim for the shorter guys at 147 because the taller guys will just frustrate him.

this right here!!! lucas was able to stop that thai fighter because he wasnt as skilled as the other top 147 guys. it was basically a free fight for lucas to shine in there.

Matthysse's power has never been in doubt, it's just a question of whether or not he can land clean consistently enough.
