    Solid fight.
Was not sure what to expect from Gesta.
For a guy who does not have power he certainly kept Linares busy.
Surprised Linares could not deter him.

i wonder how he fares against a semi retired Orlando Solido

I think Linares should go for who ever will offer the most money between Loma or Garcia.
I'll put my money on either one to stop him.

There is a lot of flash to what Linares does that he will not get away with against either Garcia or Loma.

Gesta shouldn't even be boxing. I don't what they mean about "game" performance, but he didn't even both adjusting. He fought the same way from the start to the finish and once Linares figured him out by the 2nd round, it was over. I hate when fighters don't adjust.

Linares is a flat footed flashy combination puncher good performance.Gesta put up a decent performance he has a good chin he wasn't punching with full power and didn't land punches consistently to win rounds

          10-2 Linares

Didn't think Linares finished the fight very strong in the championship rounds, maybe it was because he knew he was ahead, but I think he slowed down. He had a face to match the decrease in effectiveness - he wasn't in trouble at all, but it was against Gesta who always struggles to adapt and let his hands go consistently

Mikey and Loma, those would sell here in LA, but I wouldn't favor him in either of those two- i'd still be down to see them though.

my inner promoter would love to see Garcia vs Linares at the new soccer stadium in LA- think that is the perfect fight for the occasion and puts Mikey on the type of stage he is trying to be on in this new phase of his career. Should be a spectacular type of win for Garcia

Easter is a good fight too

Would love to see him test the waters with Robert Easter before daring to step up to either Loma or Garcia.

But then again Easter is high risk low reward.

Can Linares please stop fighting B-levels and step it up so we can see how good he really may or may not be. His resume is dreadful for a multiple weight division champ who has reigned for years.

Do you guys think Linares will be ready to fight in April?
He ended up with a few cuts. I don't think they were anything major, but who knows.

If he isn't I hope team Loma targets Miguel Berchelt for April.

                  Easter is a bum.

Linares kinda annoyed me last night, he blatantly treated the fight like a sparring session and was just ****ing around in there. No aggression, no desire to hurt Gesta or get him out of there. I realize they're acquaintances, but people paid to see a fight.

I'd really like to see the Linares fight. I think Loma would win, but I'd expect it to actually be a challenging fight for him.
