Mercito Gesta feels he has an advantage over Jorge Linares he wouldn't own if Freddie Roach wasn't his trainer. Roach once trained Linares, knows his weaknesses well and is confident Gesta can upset Linares in their 12-round fight Saturday night for Linares' WBA lightweight title in Inglewood, California. Not like Roach did a great job with Linares, as with Khan he took a very talented offensive fighter, added some nice touches but never fixed the defensive issues and KO losses came as a result. From what I remember of the DeMarco loss, he was up on the cards and Roach kept telling him to be more aggressive rather than play it safe and he got stopped as a result.

Yes Roach who is one of top trainers ever by total champs trained is horrible lol should have made linares not quit his fault lol most famous trainers have 1 elite haaaaaters
