Pretty much this. As it stands right now, Fury does not deserve 50-50. There is only so much legitimacy in still being the lineal man-to-beat-the-man. Yes, it is a fair point because he is lineal and the majority of titles held now by Joshua and Parker are splintered off from Fury leaving, sure BUT...look at what has played out? Fury has turned himself into a whale and come under incredibly su****ious/shady shortcomings with boards etc...is he even the same guy?

Of course by all means he still deserves to claim to be the man. (See Ali’s lineage and the rise of Frazier during his forced absence, for example) But to claim to be worth 50-50 of the situation is completely foolish. If he returns and looks dreadful then he can sail these statements down the river. If he returns and is impressive then it holds more weight, sure.

Talk of Fury and what he deserves and what is rightfully his really hold no water whatsoever right now. He needs to return and show not only us as fans, but himself as a man, what exactly he can do - because nobody knows.

wilder deserves 50 50 before tyson fury. 6ft 9 and hes a runner/dancer. thats no how someone of his size should be handling his opponents. people forget fury vs wladmir was probably the worst/boringest ppv fight in the last decade and turned off alot of people who were excited for it. say what you want about wilder, but at least his fights are exciting and he finishes people compared to fury.
