This article is off base. I'm definitely not watching Thurman fight Garcia or Porter again. I'd watch Vargas, but those other fights are of no interest to me. They'll play out exactly the same, barring injury.

Come on Andreas Hale are you serious? What is the point of Thurman fighting Porter and Garcia again? They were close but clear fights. The Porter fight was somewhat entertaining but to say he has to beat them again in order to stay at the top at 147 is ludicrous. Weve already seen those fights therefore I would much rather see him fight Jessie Vargas, Horn, Pacquiao, or Crawford. All these people on here complaining about Top Rank rematches will be cheering when Thurman Porter or Thurman Garcia is announced I guarantee you that. If they cqnt make a deal with Top Rank then I wouldnt mind seeing those rematches but lets not act like those are the only fights that he has to fight to remain at the top, although unfortunately those may be the only good options for him. He says Jessie Vargas isnt next so I wonder what bum hes going to face. Probqbly Aaron Herrera or Samuel Vargas smh Thurman went from hero to zero very quickly just like the rest of the Pbc bums. Actually the Garcia fight was super lopsided. Not sure how it was close. But everything else was pretty good.

This whole marinating group I don't understand. It's not a ppv fight anyways so what's the point of waiting.

What's hilarious is that the other injury-less PBC fighters are not stepping up.
They won't even fight as often as expected of prize fighters.

Thurman definitely deserves a tune up after having surgery, but him pushing it to 2019, is bordering on BS.

As long as it happens in EARLY 2019, then I'd still be a fan.

Besides, it will be fun to watch DG duck Spence, or get KTFO by Spence.

Probably. Look he is gonna lose to Spence for sure and he knows that. He has a 0 and he actually is afraid to let it go. He wants to be like his idol Floyd Mayweather and cherry pick and be like a "business" man. Tune up and then a Danny Garcia fight ensures he keeps his precious 0 in tact until Spence massacres him in 2019.

I agree with the writer on one point. You can't criticize Thurman too much if he winds up fighting Garcia and Porter this year. The criticism should be the fact that he's openly saying that the fight with Spence won't happen this year when we are still in the month of January. At least put on the show that its a friggin option. The fact that he's saying no waaaaaaaaaay early shows he's scared.
