Broner-Fig , hurd-lara , mares-cruz are ok matchups at best. Since when did matchups of this caliber become something to get super excited for? Lol

I guess by today’s standards it’s ok but these arent some special fights.

HBO in the 90s and even in the 2000s had mediocre fights like these regularly on Boxing After Dark.

How is that crazy? Saul turned pro at 15 years of age, Errol at 22 years of age, make a wild guess who's gonna have more fights and why.

Boxing needs to stick to basic cable. Having boxing on premium channels is a plus and a minus at the same time. One reason why UFC is more popular. Back in college I either watched boxing bootleg online or ordered the blurays or waited til it was on youtube. Don't get me wrong I can afford HBO and shotime I rather keep the extra $40 in my pocket

$40? The Showtime app is $11 Desktop or Phone. I think people forget that unlike HBO, you can watch boxing on Showtime's app. Those viewing numbers aren't included in the Nielsen viewer count. There's no reason to pay for the cable package.

Their mobile app has over 4 million subscribers as of Aug 2017. That's how I watch the fights (and my shows). There was a thread a few days ago with quite few people saying that's how they watch now. So who knows how much larger the viewing numbers would be with those counted.

Only issue with that is that UFC was losing money hand over fist on basic cable. UFC makes basically all of their money on PPV and that only really happen after the first TUF (with the TV product only really bringing in any money since the FOX/FS1 deal).

Haymon and the PBC are looking for their own FOX/FS1-type deal, to help undergird the public exposure for their premium offering. Give it time

Ok, I think that would be a good look.

$11 a month or one time payment?

$11 per month, just like music streaming. You can watch anything in the fight library too. Plus all of their original content. Like Billions and Ray Donovan. It's a double win for me.
